EP12. Vampires. Breath or No? FT. SURPRISE GUEST

The season's most hotly anticipated guest appears in this very finale episode.  If you can guess who it is before hitting play, Kat will send you a copy of The Princess Bride. She has an extra. There's booze flowing, extra banter, and fun stories. 

We're back to the main plot in this episode. Buffy isn't thrilled to learn her part in the Prophecy. Xander, Willow, and Buffy deal with some relatable high school feelings. Nothing that can't be put aside when the world is at stake.

EP11. It’s All About Cordie (No, Really)

We're catching up before coming back for season 2. Kat has some spare time to edit, but also has the Big Bad Virus so bear with her on the editing. 

Someone is terrorizing the school, more specifically, our favorite Queen Bee or those surrounding her. We learn about the politics of being May Queen and about Buffy's previous popular girl life. Kat and Sophie also go off on some connections to Kat's recent discovery of Stranger Things.

EP10. Untapped Potential of Nightmares

Kat and Sophie explore Season 1 Episode 10 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Nightmares, in which the Gang's worse fears become real. 

As usual, there are tangents, spoilers, and talk of things that definitely won't happen. 

Kat edited this one while in quarantine and was very relieved to find this file after finishing EP 11. Oh, what? You couldn't have listened this far and thought we were organized.

Buffy Halloween Extravaganza ft. Apple Wine

Kat and Sophie go through all three Halloween episodes of Buffy, for the first time, without notes. Much drinking was done during viewing and recording and fun was had by all, hopefully, you included! We have costume hijinks, haunted houses, and teenage vampires!

Kat talks about Spike more than normal, because ya know, he's actually in episodes. Sophie is a little confused because she's only like halfway through season 1.

EP9. Puppets, Yay or Nay? (or Spoiler: The Chandelier Dies)

Well after some technical difficulties with episode 8 we're back with episode 9! It's ok to have a lost episode that's how you get lore right? Anyway we jump into debate as old as time: How do you feel about puppets? Cause there's a creepy one in this episode. Also the gang is putting on a show so we get lots of theater nerd outs with lesbian thespians Kat & Sophie!

EP7. I Can Be Your Angel or Your Demon

Well it's taken a while but we finally have an episode where Angel is relevant! And it's not just lightly, we go full deep dive into Angel and how he starts to fit into the Buffy-verse. Well, the Buffy-verse as we've established thus far just over the halfway point of season 1. Also Sophie is loving the Vampire Family vibes and Kat has more to add in Kat's Spike Corner (KSC).

We cover Season 1 Episode 6 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997): The Pack

In this episode, we're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. Are you gonna come too, too, too? Hopefully not, because Sunnydale's zoo has something a little more exotic than the horny zebras. The Scooby Gang deals with the havoc wreaked by a pack of hyena-possessed teens, including our sweet boy Xander. This is a rough one kiddos, so buckle up.

EP5. Capital T and that Rhymes with V

Episode five of Buffy and we're back to vampires! It's our longest episode to date and we have a lot to talk about as Buffy enters the wild world of dating. Kat talks about how she considers this a definitive episode of Buffy and we get some more additions to our ever-growing queer tracker!

EP4. Slaying Mantis feat. Celeste

We once again are venturing into non-vamp supernatural creatures. We learn that Sunnydale High has lax substitute teacher policies, Xander's a chaotic bisexual, and Giles has buddies in mental institutions. We get the invaluable insight of Kat's friend, Celeste!

Are you excited for more VAMPIRE action in Buffy the VAMPIRE Slayer? Well then this isn't your episode because there are no vampires here! We break down Season 1 Episode 3 The Witch which you've never guess by looking at the title but involves a new threat, a Witch! Along the way we get to learn a little about Kat's past extracurriculars and Xander's humor flies WAY over Sophie's head. But in the immortal words of Buffy: "Macho, Macho Man, I've got to be a Macho Ma-ooo Juice!"
